Phoebe McBride is an Aberdeen based visual artist working primarily through moving image, text, and print. Her practice explores rituals of loss and healing at both individual and collective scales within the context of the climate crisis. Her work seeks ways of being with grief while speculating means of communication with the more than human and investigating points of connection.
Recent works include ‘and the current moves us : a video response’, On Becoming a Water Bat: echoes of an unseen world (2023), an online moving image commission for LUX Scotland, screened as part of the Aberdeen online programme, Galoshans Festival (2024), and featured by Forest Carbon’s Nature-inspired art: Exploring ecological connection through creative practice.
She holds a BA Hons in Fine art Painting and Printmaking from Glasgow School of Art (2017.)
